Persephone Laughs…
Persephone Laughs
Impossibility permeates
but I ain’t no Sisyphus
I won’t stop
when I climb to the top
I’ll catch Zeus’ bolt
and give him a jolt
I’ll hang on Olympus
and blast Limp Bizkit
he’ll keep rollin’ down
‘til he gets to Hades’ town
Persephone laughs
for the first time in years
we break the prophecy
our new philosophy
ruling the world
like Tears for Fears

Behind the poem: This one was inspired by Vincent Halles after he shared his piece, Guessing the Size of Cerberus, in my subscriber community chat. FYI: The chat is open to all free subscribers to respond to my daily prompts. This one came on Wild Card Wednesday!
Thank you Vincent for reminding me how much I love mythology, and of course I tied it into music. Check out his original post below:

I love it!🫶🏾
This is great! I love turning archetypes on their head and it feels like you did a splendid job at that here!
