A modern retelling of the myth. Love it.

Maybe we'd be better off with Persephone calling the shots. Who knows?

The poem feels like a burst of playful rebellion, turning Greek mythology into something loud and modern.

I love how it throws out the usual seriousness and lets the gods act like they’re in a rock‑music fever dream.

There’s something refreshing in refusing the fate of Sisyphus and choosing pure chaos instead.

Catching Zeus’ bolt and blasting Limp Bizkit on Olympus gives the whole thing a wild, almost cinematic energy.

It feels like a celebration of breaking rules just because it finally feels good to do it.

Persephone laughing after years of silence lands with surprising emotional weight.

The poem turns ancient myths into a kind of joyful mutiny, full of noise and attitude.

It has that feeling of shaking off old expectations and rewriting the script on your own terms.

The mix of gods, rebellion, and pop‑culture references makes it feel messy in the best way.

In the end, it reads like a reminder that even destiny can be mocked, flipped, and danced on.

Thanks so much Adrião!

Awesome. I had to laugh at Sisyphus because a grad student where I work wrote a long-winded commencement speech about him! Your poem is a million times better!

Haha thanks Patty!

Thanks Gary, I personally enjoy the phonetic resemblance between permeates and Persephone.
